Sian Fenn - Flautist
Sian is a Southwest local who started playing the flute from age 7. Flute became her sole focus in her later years of high school and she then went on to study at WAAPA under the tutelage of Neil Fisenden (former WASO principal flautist) to attain a BMus, with a high distinction for her final recital performance.
Sian has played at countless weddings across Perth with 'Angel Sounds' (WASO Harpist, Bronwyn Wallis' flute and harp duo) and 'Tres Classique'.
Sian's tone has been described as 'unfathomably attractive, deep, soulful, beautiful, rich and warm'.
Sian is the founder and creator of Margaret River Music and Events and you will find her featured across most of the MRME bands and ensembles.
Craig Lake - Classical Guitarist
Craig Lake is a classical guitarist and teacher from Perth, Western Australia. He has competed with some success in international competitions including the prestigious Tokyo International Guitar Competition where he won 6th prize in 2007 and the Singapore International Guitar Competition where he was a finalist in both 2005 and 2006. Craig has performed with some of Australia’s foremost baroque musicians including a broadcast on ABC Classic FM with Australian Baroque and in concert with Sara McLiver, Fiona Campbell, Stewart Smith and Paul Wright. He regularly performs on guitar in duo with internationally renowned guitarist Dr Jonathan Paget and in trio with the addition of Dr Nathan Fischer as the Silver Sands Guitar Trio under which he has performed in Kuala Lumpur as invited artists for the Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra Chamber Series and in Perth and Adelaide. Craig has published many classical guitar videos on YouTube with over a million views in total and nearly two thousand subscribers to his channel. As well as maintaining a busy performance schedule, Craig is an experienced teacher teaching at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts and for the Department of Education and Training School of Instrumental Music.
